Infrared technology uses light to generate heat that penetrates deeply into the body, warming muscles and tissues from the inside out. Unlike traditional heat, infrared heat is absorbed directly by the body, enhancing circulation, improving detoxification, and promoting muscle relaxation. This deep heat can help reduce inflammation, alleviate pain, boost metabolism, and accelerate recovery by increasing oxygen and nutrient flow to muscles. At PYRA, we harness the power of infrared technology to elevate your workout, enhance performance, and provide lasting health benefits that support both body and mind.

For hot pilates, it’s best to wear breathable, moisture-wicking clothing that keeps you cool and comfortable. Opt for form-fitting leggings or shorts and a supportive sports bra or tank top to allow for ease of movement. Since the studio is heated, lightweight, moisture-wicking fabrics are key to staying dry and comfortable throughout the session.
For our Sculpt classes, going barefoot is generally preferred to ensure a stronger connection to the mat and better control during Pilates-inspired movements. However, if you prefer, Pilates socks with grips are a great option for added stability. For Build and Burn classes, you may want to wear supportive shoes for added ankle support during the HIIT and strength training portions.
Be sure to bring a towel and water bottle to stay hydrated and manage any sweat during the workout!

Yes, hot Pilates can help with weight loss when combined with a balanced diet and overall healthy lifestyle. The heat intensifies your workout, boosting calorie burn and increasing your metabolism. This, along with Pilates-inspired movements, helps to tone and sculpt muscles while burning fat. The low-impact nature of hot Pilates also means it's accessible for most fitness levels, allowing you to build muscle and improve endurance over time.
While hot Pilates alone may not lead to drastic weight loss, it’s an excellent addition to a fitness routine that includes cardio, strength training, and proper nutrition for overall fat loss and body transformation.

Infrared heat therapy is generally safe for most people, but during pregnancy, it's important to be cautious. High temperatures can increase body temperature, which may not be recommended, especially in the first trimester. If you're pregnant, it's always a good idea to check with your healthcare provider first to make sure infrared heat is safe for you. If you get the green light, some women may choose to use infrared therapy in moderation, staying mindful of not overheating during workouts.

Hydrate: Drink plenty of water before, during, and after your class. The heat in the studio will make you sweat more, so staying hydrated is crucial to maintaining energy and avoiding dehydration.
Wear the Right Gear: Opt for breathable, moisture-wicking clothing like leggings or shorts and a supportive sports bra. If you prefer, wear Pilates socks with grips for added stability, especially in the Sculpt class.
Arrive Early: Arriving at least 10–15 minutes early will give you time to get settled, adjust to the heat, and prepare for the workout mentally and physically.
Eat Light: Avoid heavy meals right before class. A light snack like fruit or a small protein bar 30–60 minutes before class is ideal for sustained energy.
Bring Essentials: Don’t forget to bring a towel (to wipe off sweat) and a water bottle to stay hydrated throughout the session.
Listen to Your Body: Since the heat can intensify the workout, it’s important to listen to your body and take breaks when needed. It’s okay to rest and drink water throughout the class.
By preparing properly, you’ll get the most out of your hot Pilates session and leave feeling energized and accomplished!
